EPS Emergency Power Systems (EPS is abbreviation of Emergency Power Supply), specifically designed for fire equipment and special load or lighting. When the AC grid is normal, the AC grid provide power supply for the load directly through the inter-device mutual mapping equipment, and the charger in the device carries out intelligent charging to the battery pack, float charging and automatic conversion.
When the AC grid is de-energized or the grid voltage drops below 15% or above rating of 10%, the device will immediately switch to the inverter output, that is, the battery group standby power through the inverter, continue to provide sinusoidal AC for load. Main components of the system

Working status:
1. When the electric supply and DC input are normal, the electric supply provide power (ie, AC power supply) for the load through the static switch 1, meanwhile the battery pack charge;

EPS emergency power supply use environment

Protection function

Note: The emergency power supply after the undervoltage, overvoltage protection, must return to the above setting recovery point, to start again. The backlash voltage is set to prevent the system from oscillating near the protection point. When the inverter is switched on for the first time, the machine will be in the protection state if the input voltage is just between the protection point and the recovery point.

Installation and operation

Installation of emergency power supply requires rationality at first, including the choice of the installation location, the correct configuration of the load, selecting the appropriate cable with correct connection and others, to ensure that the operation of emergency power supply can be safe and normal.

Load configuration

The signs of load equipment generally have rated voltage, current and other data, the volt ampere (VA) value required can be obtained by multiplying the two . Some devices are marked in watts (W), and multiply the wattage by 1.4 to get an approximate VA value. Users must carefully look at the load power in use, to avoid overload.
Load equipment in general operating conditions, especially in the standby state, its actual power is lower than the marked power, the user should use the nominal power of the equipment as the standard, meanwhile taking into account the impact current of the equipment when starting, it is best to have a power margin of 30%, in order to ensure a reliable power supply of emergency power supply.

Installation location

The installation location of the machine is chosen to facilitate heat dissipation, to facilitate wiring, and to comply with the working environment requirements of clause 2.6 of this manual. In addition, the inlet and outlet of the chassis must be kept clear, and keep enough distance from walls or other objects; emergency power supply must leave enough space for operation and maintenance; do not place any items on the top of the chassis.

Installation wiring

The following figure is the rear panel wiring diagram of conventional products produced by our company, for reference only, please refer to the wiring plate of various types of the inverter power supply or the supplementary notes of the manual. When wiring, must take the appropriate crimping measures, correct, strong and reasonable wiring are required, to avoid the overheating phenomenon when high current working.

Operation and display of the front panel LCD/LED as shown above, consist of the status indicator, LCD display, control buttons and other three parts. Respectively:

LCD control and information

1. Function key description
● Confirm Function: When you need to enter the next menu, select the corresponding menu item and press the Enter key. After the corresponding control parameters have been modified, you must press this key to confirm and the modification will take effect.
● Exit Function: Press this key when you want to return to the previous menu; when the modification of the parameter is in half way, press the Escape key when you want to cancel the operation.
● △ Function: Can move up in the menu; count-up when set the parameters
● ▽ Function: Can move down in the menu; count-down when set the parameters
● Start Function: In the LCD power-on mode, start the inverter
● Stop Function: In the LCD power-on mode, stop the inverter

2. The menu item description and settings
● Run Parameters Display The current operating parameters of the system in real time. As follows:
A phase load current (A), B phase load current (A), C phase load current (A), A phase grid voltage (V), B phase grid voltage (V), C phase grid voltage (V), Inverter voltage (V), DC voltage (V), modulation system
● Priority display setting The user needs to display the operating parameters in preference via this menu setting
· After entering this level menu, when the cursor moves to the operating parameters you want to select, press the Enter key, then the end of the line will appear a mark
When the parameter is selected, and the user wants to cancel, press the Enter key again, the end of line mark will also be cleared
Up to three parameters can be set as the priority display parameter. When the four parameters are selected, the first selection will be invalid
When none of the parameters are selected, the system will display the first three parameters in the menu by default
● Fault Query This menu allows users to view the faults that occurred in the previous four times
The exclamation mark after the fault name from right to left indicates in turn the previous fault prompt pop-up in the first time, the previous fault prompt pop-up in the second time, the previous fault prompt pop-up in the third time, the previous fault prompt pop-up in the fourth time.
● Backlight Setting The user sets the backlight through this menu
The menu has two options, normally open and automatic, when the cursor moves to the corresponding option, press Enter to select it, the end of the line will appear a mark.

3. Operation instructions
● When the system is power-on, if the dialog box is displayed: "Whether to overwrite the data of the controller", press "Enter" to enter the priority display directly.
● After entering the priority display, press the Enter key to enter the main interface.
● After entering the main interface, you can move up or down the scroll bar and press the Enter key to enter the corresponding menu item.
● Press the Escape key to return to the priority display.
● At the lower left of the main interface is the current running status display (stop: indicates that the current system is in the stopping state, running: indicates that the current system is in the running stste), and the lower right is the working power display (grid: indicates the grid power supply at present; inverter: indicates the inverter output power supply at present).
● When the fault occurs, a fault warning screen will pops up and the cause of the fault is displayed

!!The "Run" and "Stop" keys are invalid in the status of the fault warning screen
Press the Enter key to enter the fault screen, press the Exit key to return directly to the main interface, at this time, except fault screen, there will be a reverse indication in the lower left of screens to indicate that there is in the faults of the last warning at present
When the fault is removed, the sign can be automatically cleared after a query operation

EPS emergency power supply trial operation

When the EPS emergency power supply has been installed, it should carry out a test run to ensure the reliable power supply of emergency power supply.

Operation steps are as follows:

● Ensure that the wiring of EPS emergency power supply is correct, safe and firm. Check whether the air switch is in the off position and the load is in the off state.
● Measure whether the voltage between the two terminals of the DC (battery) input is normal and its polarity is correct via the multimeter with DC voltage;
● Turn on the AC power of the previous stage and measure whether the voltage between the two terminals of the AC input is normal and its polarity is correct via the multimeter with AC voltage;
● Close the emergency power supply DC input switch, after about 3 to 5s, the LCD began to display, the front panel inverter lights on, there is the grid fault warning screen on the LCD;
● Press the exit in LCD and then press the RUN button, the output light is on, the whole machine starts normal operation. (If you want to terminate the output, press the stop key, the machine will terminate the output.);
● Close the EPS emergency power AC input switch, electric supply in the front panel, the output light on, emergency lights off, the machine turns to bypass output;
● Open the tributary load equipment one by one, check whether the load is working properly;
After above operation steps are normal, emergency power can be put into normal operation.

Maintenance

In order to ensure the continuous operation of emergency power supply, requiring frequent maintenance and repair.
The installation and storage of emergency power supply should avoid environment with high corrosive, high dust, high temperature, high humidity, in particular, should avoid the metal material into the box.
Regularly check whether the cable is aging, the cable connection point is tightened, safe.
Regularly clean the cooling fan and check that the fan is working properly.
Before open the box to maintain, you should completely cut off the power and shutdown for 10 minutes or longer, until the capacitor has been discharged, you can go on (the machine has a large capacity capacitors, discharge must be a certain period of time), careful not to damage the parts and components, pay attention to the order of wiring. Specific maintenance requirements:
● Clean the dust and debris inside the cabinet
● Check whether the terminals and the screws in the cabinet are fastened
● Check whether there are signs left after overheating and damaged device
● Check whether the wires inside the cabinet are aging
Open emergency power supply maintained in the cabinet, before re-put into use, test run should be carried out (refer to this manual), to ensure reliable power supply of emergency power supply.

Note: One-line electric supply, two-line input, the load can usually have external switch control, when electric supply is normal, output of EPS can be controlled by external switch. Note: The EPS acts as the third power supply for the load to supplies power to the primary load. Set the two-way mutual mapping at the output end. 1. Wiring diagram of connection to motor load

Description:
1. EPS only in the circuit as one-line power supply, in the absence of electric supply to provide emergency output.
2. The roller shutter door in the actual work, not start at the same time, the capacity of EPS should not be less than the 3 times the capacity sum of roller shutter door motor starting at the same time. The shutter doors have little power consumption, so if just for shutter doors, the battery configuration can be reduced accordingly. 20 minute spare time of EPS capacity can be selected.
3. The elevator driving motor should have a function of frequency conversion, capacity of EPS can be 1: 1 for the total capacity of the elevator.
4. Pumps can be divided into fire pumps, spray pumps, water pumps, etc. If the pump has frequency conversion start, the capacity of EPS is 1: 1 of the total capacity of the pump motors working at the same time. If the star delta step-down start, the capacity of EPS is more than 3 times the total capacity of the pump working at the same time. If the pump without any frequency conversion, star delta step-down start and other measures, the capacity of the EPS should be more than 5 times the total capacity of the pump motors working at the same time.
5. The fans can be divided into exhaust fan, intake fan, etc. If the fan has frequency conversion start, the capacity of EPS is 1: 1 of the total capacity of the fan motor working at the same time.
